PerfMon is a performance measurement tool for developers of Windows 
applications.  It consists of the PerfMon DLL which saves timestamps 
internally and the PerfMon application which provides for viewing, saving, 
printing, copying, and computing averages of the saved data. Because 
PerfMon uses explicit DLL calls to collect performance data, it allows a 
developer to measure the performance of any code segment in an application.
It can be used for tuning programs written in third-generation languages 
such as C or C++ as well as applications developed with rapid application 
development tools such as Excel, Access, Visual Basic, Paradox for Windows, 
Approach, or Powerbuilder.  It can also be used to collect performance 
data in situations where an application is being developed using several 
different tools.

To install PerfMon run the prfsetup.exe program from within Windows.
